RIVERDALE, NY — Outside the Cahill Theater at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, autumn is turning the sweeping view of the Hudson River into a kaleidoscope of color. Inside the black box theater, the atmosphere is far darker as the Red Monkey Theater Group performs Robert Kauzlaric’s stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s 1996 fantasy novel Neverwhere, which is set in the sewers and subways of a shadow world known as London Below. Produced by Tal Aviezer and directed by Holland Renton, with costumes by Carolyn Fuchs and a set by Fuchs and Lauren Anker, the production opened on Sunday, Oct. 16. Performances continue Oct. 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 at 8 p.m., and Oct. 23 and 30 at 2 p.m. For tickets, visit redmonkeytheater.org.
