YONKERS, NY — The Trisha Brown Dance Company performed at the historic Untermyer Gardens on Saturday, Sept. 16. Titled “In Plain Sight,” the program was presented by RiverArts, a nonprofit organization based in Hastings-on-Hudson. Brown, who died in March at age 81, was a founder of postmodern dance who received five fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and two from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. In addition, she was the first female choreographer to receive a “Genius Grant” from the MacArthur Foundation.
